Annsley's first 'crimi' Christmas!

Yesterday was our annual crimi christmas get together. This year it was at our house and everyone was there including the two newest little crimis, Frances and Annsley. It was so great to have a little one of our own this year to celebrate christmas with our family. Annsley did very well and enjoyed watching all of her cousins, she is so fascinated with people and things right now. She's beginning to get such little personality, she smiles and giggles at people all the time and talks so much, I can tell she is really studying things when she looks at them and is trying to figure it out. I can't believe our little girl is almost 3 months old...time is flying by so fast.

waiting on everyone to arrive for the party!!

My girl loves her music!!

Last night while Annsley was playing I happened to have on the CMA's. I noticed she was paying extra close attention to when there was music playing. After a little while she started to throw her hands around and kick her legs with the music. I just thought it was so funny and she seemed to be dancing to the music. Maybe she wasn't dancing, but for me it was priceless to see my 6 week old little girl so entertained by music and television. I just had to grab the camera to show Darren what she was up to while he was working!

Sorry it's sideways, the camera is a little new and I didn't realize filming with the camera longways it would be that way when I downloaded the video. Oh well, now I know and you get the picture!!

My baby's 1 month today

Wow how time has flown by, I can't believe my little angel is 1 month today! But for my poor baby the day didn't start so well, we went in to the doctor for her 1 month well baby check up and while there she had to get her 2nd hepatitis vaccine and her 2nd PKU test. We came into the office and got her undressed, so they could weigh her and take her measurements...she's now weighing 9lbs 2oz-which is great because she lost a whole pound after she was born ,(so she's gained 2lbs and is up 1 from birth) and she is now 20.75 inches long!! After being weighed and measured the girl came in to do the PKU heel stick. I asked my mom to go to the doctor with me as Darren had to work today and I didn't know what they were planning to do on this visit. Annsley did so well for the PKU test she only fussed a little when they pricked her heel, I was so happy she didn't scream... So far, she doesn't like to cry unless she has to. When the doctor came in she checked everything and said she looks wonderful. I discussed with her how Annsley seems to have reflux... I wouldn't say it's a severe case, but she spits up alot and even an hour or two after we've fed her she will still have what I call wet burps and she will act like she's choking...sometimes this can be pretty scary. Dr. M suggested we mix rice cereal with her bottles to help it stay down and also gave us some prevacid...she didn't want to give us a prescription b/c she said it's pretty expensive and doesn' t always work. She said if it works just to keep getting the samples from her-fine with me!! After that the nurse came in and gave the hepatitis shot, I thought maybe it would not be that bad since she didn't cry with the PKU test, maybe she would not with the shot either... I was wrong, she stuck the needle in and out came the paci and the bottom lip, her little face turned so red and there it was, the first time I've ever heard her really cry. As soon as it was done I immediately picked her up and within a couple of seconds she was ok. The nurse then hit me with the news that next time there will be several more shots...Can't wait!! I told Annsley her daddy will come to the next visit, he has a way of making things all better!!

Here are a few new pics of our little lady!

I'm so strong, look how good I hold my head up!!

Look how big I am... I am sitting in my rocking chair all by myself!!

I like talking to my mommy and stuffed animals!!

Annsley's Arrival!!

Sheww...She's asleep so I'm going to try to catch up on blogging!!
On Wednesday September 30th around 4:00am I was lying awake and uncomfortable. I didn't think I would get anymore sleep, so I decided to get up and go watch tv, but before I did that I thought I would stop off in the bathroom (oh the joys of pregnancy!!). As I sat down to go, I felt my water break!! After making sure that's what it really was I called for Darren and he came in and said "Are you sure that's what it is", I said "yeah, I don't know what else it could be". We called Dr. Martin and he said to come in to the hospital!! I wasn't in any pain, so I told Darren I wanted to take a shower and clean up for the day. Darren really didn't think it was a good idea, so I said I would not wash my hair and just shower off, that would make the time significantly shorter. We got to the hospital and checked in around 5:30am, and still no pain. We were in our room and Dr. Martin finally came in around 6:30 or 7:00 to check me. He said I was around 4.5cm dilated. They told me I could go ahead and get my epidural, still in no pain I really didn't want to get one until I had to, but they suggested I did just in case It got to be too late and I couldn't get one. The Epidural was done by around 8:30 and I was feeling great, actually there was nothing to it, the worst part was the IV I had put in that morning. The epidural had me so numb I couldn't feel a thing!! My wonderful LDR nurse Jill took such great care of us...I was so happy to have had her! She kept a close eye on the monitors, because as I would have a contraction Annsley's heart rate would drop. Eventually they put me on oxygen and it helped significantly with her heart rate. The next time they came in to check me I was at 6cm and by around 1:00pm I was ready to push!! Unfortunately Dr. Martin had to work at the Tallassee office that day, but Dr. Thomas and Dr. Espinal were there to bring miss Annsley into the world! They were both great!! Annsley arrived at 2:22pm weighing 8lbs and was 19.5 inches long!! Darren and I feel so blessed to have been given this little life, we can't wait to see the person she becomes!!

Patiently waiting on Annsley!

39 weeks...

On Thursday Darren and I went in for our 39 week Dr. Appointment. Things are still looking really good. He said I was between 2 and 2.5 cm Dilated and had thinned a bit more. He told us it was up to us as to what we want to do at this point- wait to see if Annsley comes on her own or schedule an induction. We chose to schedule the induction for next Thursday October 1st. We thought this was the best option, that way she has until her due date to come on her own. If she's not here by then we're giving her an eviction notice and she has to vacate the premises on the 1st of the month!! Being a "planner" I am so glad to know that within the next week my little girl will be here. I'm so excited and can't wait to see her sweet face and hold her!!

32 and 37 weeks...what a difference 5 weeks makes!!

Wow how I've changed in 5 weeks. The first picture was taken at 32 weeks and the other was taken at 37. It's so amazing to see the difference... I have people tell me 'she's really popped on out there' (a nice way of saying 'you sure are getting big'!!) I know Annsley is growing, but I guess I had no idea how much until I looked at these pictures compared to one another!! I'm still feeling pretty good other than just being very tired and having some circulation problems, I really can't complain. The doctor says things look good, my blood pressure has been great and he doesn't even want to check to see if any progress is being made until next week.

Dr's visit and 4D ultrasound!!

Yesterday was our 28 week Dr's visit (I'm really 29 weeks). The visit went very well and we got a great Dr's report. Annsley is growing and gaining weight. She's now right at 3lbs, which at this point is right in the 50th percentile...not too little, not too big!! I have been so excited to have the 4D ultrasound done to see our sweet little Annsley's face!! On the way to our appointment Darren and I joked that she would probably do all she could not to cooperate and take good pictures!! We got started with the 4D and she Immediately found her legs and lady parts, the ultrasound tech (Julie), then went twords where the head should be according to her legs. What do you know, our little one had her head turned the exact opposite way of where she needed it to be to get good pictures. On top of that, the location of her head was also right where the placenta is, this is why when you see the pictures there is a lot of fuzzy stuff around her head. Julie had to poke and shake to finally get her to turn her head and cooperate!! Anyway, although the pictures are not really clear you can see a lot of her features!

July 4th!!

I hope everyone had a great Independance day!! Darren and I went to Birmingham to visit his oldest brother and their family along with Monica, Brendan, Ava and Mr. and Mrs. C. Saturday morning we went to Tony and Betsy's church, to a festival that they put on with games and all sorts of things for kids to do. Later in the evening we cooked out and watched the fireworks. Needless to say after a long day outside, I was exhausted! I even came home today and took a 2.5 hour nap!! We had a great time with family and hope to do it again next year!!
